Loka & The Moonshiners

Born of a desire to explore territories where garage rock, Congolese mutuashi, repetitive music and also a certain pop melancholy meet, LoKa and The Moonshiners cultivate their hypnotic riffs in that "voodoo" vibe whose musical flame has always been kept alive from The Seeds to Oh Sees.

Finalists in the Concours Circuit 2018, LoKa and the Moonshiners offer a live show that's both rock'n'roll and enchanting. The band has already performed at Rockerill, Le Botanique and the Cabaret Vert festival, and opened for bands such as Flamingods, Vanishing Twins, The Black Lips and Oh Sees.

After a single released on The Psychedelic Underground Generation compilation, their 7-track EP Under the big trees was released in spring 2023 by Night Leaf Records (12″ vinyls, cds and digital platforms). The band is currently working on the final touches for their next album, entitled Deeper.
